SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A new mental health facility for juveniles has been under construction for the last two years. Community leaders are hopeful the doors will open soon.
On Thursday, Greene County Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon delivered his annual State of the County address in Springfield. He focused on a new treatment center for mental health.
“I believe it is a model for other things that can be done and need to be done in our region,” said Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon.
Over the last two years, work has been underway at the new Youth Resiliency Campus.
“Which will provide a full continuum of care, plus a 16-bed youth residential treatment center for some of our highest need youth,” said Presiding Commissioner Dixon.
