NORFOLK, Va. — A large shed caught fire in Norfolk, which led to heat exposure damage to two nearby homes.
Norfolk Fire-Rescue said they were called to Walters Drive just after 2 p.m. Thursday. They arrived to find the shed heavily engulfed in flames, as well as a tree on fire. Firefighters began an aggressive attack on the fire using multiple lines as well as an aerial master stream.
The fire was brought under control at 2:25.
No one was hurt and the Red Cross was not needed, although two adjacent homes had melted siding from the heat exposure.
As of 3:30, firefighters continued to put out hot spots.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
