SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — In just over a month, voters in 10 southwest Missouri counties will be asked to weigh in on tax increases and community questions.

Most counties in the area do not have November elections, but in those 10 counties, Issues range from school district tax hikes and bond sales to county use taxes and fire district levies.

In most of those counties, only a portion of voters will have issues to decide. Contact your county clerk’s office or the clerk’s website for polling locations and details.

The deadline to register for the Nov. 4 elections is Oct. 8 for anyone not currently registered in his or her county.
