MILFORD, Mass. —

A 15-year-old e-bike rider is facing several charges after colliding with a car at a busy Milford intersection on Wednesday.

Police say the juvenile is being charged with operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Exchange Street around 3:02 p.m.

Surveillance video shows the cyclist crossing Exchange Street when a vehicle strikes him.

The teen sustained minor injuries.

Milford police say this is "another example of the perils of riding an E-Bike and lack of safety awareness by riders."
