Novi's water boil advisory has been lifted, but city officials say they're not out of the woods just yet.

The city lifted the advisory around noon Tuesday after the Great Lakes Water Authority worked to repair the 42-inch water main that broke Sept. 25 at 14 Mile and M5. Officials reported Thursday that GLWA had installed a new pipe and have begun inspections, according to social media posts from the city.

As GLWA inspects the pipe and repairs valves in the system, officials ask that residents conserve water.

"Specifically, please do not use your irrigation systems until further notice (unless you use a well)," the city said on Facebook Thursday afternoon. "This will help ensure that we do not lose water pressure while repairs are still being made. If we lose pressure before the 42" mai
