SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame is back at home this weekend to begin a stretch of three straight home games. And for the second consecutive week, the Irish are playing a new opponent.

This Saturday will mark the first ever meeting between the Irish and the Boise State Broncos.

For fans who are unfamiliar, Boise State is one of the most successful programs in the country. Since 2000, the Broncos are in the top three schools for most wins in this century.

They made the College Football Playoff last year. And while they lost Heisman runner-up Ashton Jeanty, they returned quarterback Maddux Madsen, who’s already thrown for 1,129 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
