NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- PIX11 News has learned the teen accused of a hit-and-run that killed two girls in Cranford, N.J., received 15 tickets, according to court records.
The citations include careless driving, speeding, and driving without a license, registration, or insurance card.
Officials said the incident occurred on Monday, around 5:30 p.m., on Burnside Avenue. The two girls, Isabella Salas and Maria Niotis, both teens, were hit by a car while on e-bikes. The teen suspect who was driving fled the scene of the accident, police said.
Isabella and Maria were both transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead by the hospital, police said.
