A hootenanny may be heading to the big screen, as Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is reportedly developing a film about The Replacements.
Wolfhard, who was recently in Minneapolis performing with his musical project, is working to adapt Bob Mehr's best-selling Replacements biography, Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements, Variety reports.
The young star has teamed up with his father, Eric Wolfhard, and producer Rich Peete on the project, the latter of whom worked with Wolfhard on the A24 film, The Legend of Ochi, which was released earlier this year.
The father-and-son team will also write the screenplay. Variety's report does not say whether Wolfhard plans to star in the film as well.
While there had previously been rumors of an adaptation, Mehr writes in a Facebook post
