Oktoberfest Pittsburgh returned to downtown for its second year on Thursday.

The 10-day event offers plenty of things for people to do, including a beer garden, polka performers and stein-holding contest. There's even a Ferris wheel on the Roberto Clemente Bridge. Advertisement

"It's really a way to celebrate our rich heritage, but to create spaces that are for everybody, so we're just really excited to see this tradition continue now and into the future," Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato said.

Jeremy Waldrup, president and CEO of Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, is hoping to build on the success of last year's event.
