AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Panhandle Community Services announced Thursday that financial assistance is available to help qualifying households in the Texas Panhandle pay their gas and electric bills ahead of the winter season.
The program can cover past-due balances or current utility bills, with funding distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must meet income guidelines and have not received energy assistance during the 2025 program year. Officials said applicants are required to provide documentation, including proof of income, identification, birth certificates, and a current utility bill.
