One man is dead after a serious crash at Upper James Street and Mohawk Road.
Hamilton police responded to the busy Mountain intersection just after 5 p.m. on Thursday for a collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle.
A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, said Dave Thompson, Hamilton paramedic commander. Another male, in his 60s, was assessed on scene but refused further treatment or transport to hospital, Thompson added.
As of 7 p.m., Upper James and Mohawk remained completely closed as the collision reconstruction unit probed the crash site, police said.
Police warned drivers to take alternate routes with the intersection expected to be shuttered for “several” hours.
