HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Newton man was arrested Wednesday after police accused him of breaking into an apartment and shooting two people inside earlier this week.

According to the Hickory Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting at Glenwood Commons off of Plaza Drive around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30. They located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were treated and released from a local hospital.

During the investigation, police allege that Tyraun Lamont Clark, 48, forcefully entered a known person’s apartment and fired several rounds. Clark then exited the residence and reportedly fired additional rounds as he was leaving.
