TOLLESON (AZFamily) — Police are looking for a man who they say attempted to kidnap a young girl in the West Valley earlier this week.

The alleged incident occurred in the area of 87th Avenue and Van Buren Street on Monday, according to the Tolleson Police Department.

Police said he grabbed the child by the arm and attempted to pull her away. The child was able to break free, and the suspect left the area, authorities said.

Police say they do know who the man is and are actively looking for them, but he has not been publicly identified.
