A motorcyclist was injured and taken to a hospital after a crash involving an SUV in south Longmont on Thursday evening.

At 5:27 p.m., Longmont police were called to Ken Pratt Boulevard and South Bowen Street for a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle, according to Longmont spokesperson Rogelio Mares.

The motorcyclist was thrown from their bike and landed in the intersection. The rider was then taken to a local hospital, and their condition is unknown, Mares said. The rider was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred, according to Mares. No other injuries were reported.

The crash was under investigation, and no citations have been issued, according to Mares.
