MADISON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The (RV) Dakota State Trojans swept Mayville State (N.D.) in Frontier Conference women’s volleyball action Thursday evening, 3–0 (25–21, 25–19, 25–17), behind a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive presence at DSU Fieldhouse.
DSU hit .252 as a team with 53 kills, while holding the Comets to just a .122 hitting percentage. The Trojans also won the defensive battle, posting 65 digs to MSU’s 56 and finishing with 6 team blocks compared to the Comets’ 2.
Dakota State remained undefeated at home during Frontier Conference play with a 6-0 record, resulting in all 3-set sweeps. The Trojans raised their overall record to 11-5 and closed the first half of the conference schedule with a 7-4 record.
