Evansville haunted house to host canned food drive for local families

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- A haunted house in Evansville is hosting a canned food drive to help local families.

“Dead Bird Productions” is hosting two haunts, "Carn-Evil" and "The Freakshow." Co-owner Brandon Cardinal says tickets are on sale now and all canned food item attendees bring is a dollar off admission up to 5 cans per person.

Cardinal says this is the third year they are offering the drive, with this year offering the deal every night to raise awareness for local food shelves.

"We wanted to extend the offering for the entire season," says Cardinal. "We appreciate the community, and we want to make sure that we give back."
