Jonathan Distfeno connected with Noah Eze for two touchdowns as Bowsher took advantage of some strong defensive play to defeat Scott 14-6 in a City League football game Thursday at Scott.

Distfeno threw a 19-yard scoring pass to Eze with 7:26 to go in the second quarter, one play after Bowsher recovered a muffed punt, to tie things at 6.

With 31.1 seconds to go in the third, Bowsher took the lead on a 2-yard touchdown pass from Distfeno to Eze on a fourth-and-goal play. The Blue Racers converted after getting stopped on three attempts from the Scott 1-yard line.

Bowsher (2-5, 2-1 City) took an eight-point lead with 4:01 to go on a safety when a Scott ballcarrier was forced out of the back of the endzone.

Scott (2-5, 2-1) had a chance to tie, regaining possession on its own 27 with 1:10
