GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — Lineé Walker still remembers that heartbreaking day in August 2023.
"I was at work when I got a call from the sheriff's department saying my son was deceased," said Walker.
She says her son, 26-year-old Daniel Walker, was killed by his abuser, and she says God led her to help others.
"I was lying around and praying to God to help me through the pain that I was experiencing from the loss of my son, and he said, 'You have to be his voice,'" she said.
She has since started a nonprofit with two missions: Daniel's Voice educates and advocates for individuals facing domestic violence, while Daniel's Den serves as a support group. Participants at the Thursday night event, who have shown immense courage in the face of adversity, say domestic violence against men is someth
