The West Virginia University women’s soccer team defeated the University of Arizona Wildcats 3-0 Thursday at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

The Mountaineers started the first half with possession. At the two minute mark, senior forward Taylor White took a shot on goal but missed just above the crossbar, with the ball being batted out by Arizona goalkeeper Olivia Ramey.

After White’s shot on goal, junior forward Anna Hauer earned a corner kick, but the ball went wide.

The Mountaineers continued to dominate possession through the first half, where Hauer earned yet another corner kick.

Freshman midfielder Ava Arnold took a strong shot on goal that missed above the net.
