ST. LOUIS – Neighbors in south St. Louis are sounding the alarm over a string of backyard thefts they believe all trace back to one man.

They’ve been happening in the area of the Boulevard Heights and Princeton Heights neighborhoods.

Police confirmed they’re aware of the incidents and investigating after multiple reports of the man trespassing onto properties in the area.

Residents said they couldn’t believe what they were watching on their surveillance cameras as the man was caught on video stealing several items, including a lawnmower, a gas can, a weed wacker and a leaf blower and then running off.

All of the incidents appear to have happened in broad daylight.
