SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The City of Savannah turned City Hall purple Thursday to show its support for survivors of domestic violence.

Residents and visitors are invited to visit City Hall to take photos and share messages of support on social media. The goal is to help raise awareness of domestic violence and stand in solidarity with survivors.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and purple is the national awareness color for domestic violence.

The lights will stay purple through Saturday.
