LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - As the college basketball season nears, Nebraska is practicing without one of its top players. Natalie Potts remains sidelined, though the Huskers are hopeful the 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year will be cleared during the upcoming campaign. Head coach Amy Williams says there is no timeline for Potts’ return.

Potts had knee surgery last November after tearing her ACL. At the time of the injury, the 6-foot-2 forward was averaging 14 points while shooting 73 percent from beyond the arc.

Potts would bolster a lineup that has experience and good depth, according to Williams. The Huskers return four starters from last year’s team which won 21 games and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
