CLEVELAND, Ohio — The mystique of Alabama football has long been built on the inevitability of dominance.
Give Nick Saban a week to prepare, earn his full attention, and opponents would be fortunate to stay within three touchdowns. But according to Joel Klatt, those days are gone, and it’s creating an opportunity for Vanderbilt to keep things competitive when they visit Tuscaloosa this weekend.
“But this is not Bama of yesteryear. This is not a team that like, well, if you get their full attention, they’re going to beat you by 30. That’s not the case,” Klatt explained on his podcast, challenging the traditional assumption that a motivated Alabama team automatically results in a blowout.
