MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — There were 7,310 eviction cases filed in Maricopa County in September of 2025, approximately 250 fewer cases than in August.
The dip, a spokesperson for the Maricopa County Justice Courts says, leads officials to believe that 2025 will fall short of the record-breaking number of eviction cases filed in 2024, but will likely still be high overall, and could even come in as the second-highest number of evictions filed in the court system's 20-year recorded history.
Last year, there were 7,537 eviction cases filed, which is 227 cases fewer than in 2025.
