Fancy Fire: Several establishments and shops within the bustling business hub have been gutted in the fire.

A massive fire broke out at Cyber Mart on SS Road in Fancy Bazar at around 3 a.m. this morning, shortly after the city celebrated Vijaya Dashami. The blaze claimed one life and left several others critically injured.

According to reports, at least four people trapped inside the commercial complex were rescued by firefighters and locals and taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Nearly 10–12 fire tenders, assisted by SDRF personnel, are battling to douse the fire believed to have been triggered by a short circuit.

Several establishments and shops within the bustling business hub have been gutted in the fire.
