Manipur, security forces have arrested self-styled Commander-in-Chief of the Chin Kuki Mizo Army Paokholen Guite.

In a major crackdown on insurgency and arms trafficking in Manipur, security forces have arrested self-styled Commander-in-Chief of the Chin Kuki Mizo Army Paokholen Guite, from S. Munuam in Churachandpur.

Guite, from P. Mongjang Village, was involved in trafficking weapons and drugs across the India-Myanmar border for non-SOO groups, including UKNA and engaging in extortion. Recovered items include two AK-47 rifles, two magazines, 31 AK-47 rounds, 150 SLR/LMG rounds, Rs. 1 lakh in cash, a bulletproof pouch, a car and two mobile phones.
