A long-awaited construction project at the New Hampshire State House is nearing completion.

On Thursday, crews hoisted the final 27-ton concrete and steel form into place at the new legislative parking garage.

The $25 million structure replaces the aging Storrs Street garage in Concord, which was built 50 years ago as a "temporary" parking solution for lawmakers.

While major construction is complete, finishing work will continue.
