In a quizzical turn of events, a former NSG commando, who fought Pakistani terrorists at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai during the 26/11 attacks, has been declared the chief ringleader of a cannabis smuggling network by the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF).

Bajrang Singh, who had a bounty of Rs 25,000, was accused of smuggling cannabis from Odisha and Telangana and running his operations out of Rajasthan. He was arrested from Churu on Wednesday night last week with nearly 200 kg of the banned substance.

The ATS and ANTF launched 'Operation Gaanjaney' to capture Bajrang, ultimately leading to his arrest.
