A local business recently celebrated a half century of providing home care services to Cleveland County.

Helping Hands Nursing Services held a celebration on Sept. 11 to mark the milestone at the LeGrand Center.

Located at 407 W. Warren St., in Shelby, the agency matches people with one of its 130 caregivers who help prepare meals, take people to appointments or even out for a drive and enable the elderly to remain in their homes instead of in a facility.
