Chennai: The Madras High Court has refused to grant anticipatory bail to Sathish Kumar, the Namakkal district secretary of actor Vijay’s Tamil Nadu Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, in connection with an alleged attack on a private hospital.. The incident occurred on September 27 during Vijay’s political campaign in the Namakkal district, leading to Kumar being named in a police case. Justice Senthil Kumar, presiding over the case, delivered a sharp rebuke to the petitioner, questioning his leadership and control over his own party members. The court noted that the charges under the Tamil Nadu Public Property Act were serious and anticipatory bail could not be granted in such circumstances.
