HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - A man was arrested for driving a stolen Mercedes-Benz in Hartford.

Police identified the driver as 19-year-old Yandel Lopez-Serrano of East Hartford.

According to police, officers spotted the stolen car on Washington Street on Oct. 1.

Detectives followed it until the driver parked it on Broad Street.

Lopez-Serrano got out of the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.

He was transported to the Hartford Police Department and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, second-degree larceny, and use of a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission.

Police determined that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 was stolen out of Bloomfield. They recovered it.
