BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A Port Allen man is behind bars after an investigation by the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division found evidence of drug distribution, Sheriff Jeff Bergeron said.
WBRSO said Garrett Taylor, 56, known by the nickname “Jamaica,” was the target of a weeks-long investigation. Undercover agents reportedly bought methamphetamine and marijuana from Taylor on multiple occasions.
Taylor was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 1, after deputies obtained an arrest warrant. WBRSO said a search of his home turned up more than 45 grams of methamphetamine, over 50 grams of marijuana, and more than 10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
