XNew Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday arrested two wanted criminals allegedly linked to foreign-based gangsters after an encounter in the Kapashera area, officials said.

The accused have been identified as Akash Rajput, a resident of Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan who was involved in a kidnapping case in Gujarat where a demand was made for Rs 100 crore ransom, and Mahipal Meena (28) from Rajasthan's Bharatpur, police said.

The duo was part of the Jagdish alias Jagla-Abhishek alias Golu gang, which recently allied with fugitive gangster Rohit Godara and his syndicate, ACP (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah said.
