LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Two local shelters are going all out to help animals find their forever homes.
The Kentucky Humane Society and Louisville Metro Animal services are joining the nationwide push to "Empty the Shelters."
Adoption fees have been waived for all dogs and cats one year and older.
It's part of the Bissell Foundation's fall campaign, giving you the perfect excuse to add a furry new member to your family.
"We have animals of every shape, size and age here. Someone who is ready to fit every single family home," said Andrea Mattingly with the Kentucky Humane Society. "So, if you don't even know what you're looking for, if you don't know if there's an animal that might fit your household's needs, I encourage you to come by one of our two locations, talk to an adoption counselor.
