STEPHENVILLE, Texas —

Former University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach Billy Gillispie has been placed on temporary administrative leave at Tarleton State as the university investigates a complaint, per CBS Sports.

Gillispie coached the Wildcats from 2007 to 2009 before being dismissed after two seasons.

He has led Tarleton since 2020, posting a 78-74 record during that time.

The university has not released details about the complaint or how long the investigation will take.

Assistant coach Glynn Cyprien will serve as acting head coach as the Texans prepare to open the season Nov. 3 at SMU.
