DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Kentucky health officials issued a statewide health alert Monday following a significant increase in mosquito-borne illnesses.
They’ve also reported one death, which we know know is from Daviess County.
An official from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services confirmed it Friday.
Officials also report 19 cases of West Nile virus statewide, compared to an average of seven cases in previous years.
