Cherokee County EMA Seeks Public Input on Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

Cherokee County-The Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency is updating the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan and is asking residents to take part in the process.

The plan identifies risks such as severe weather, flooding, and tornadoes, and outlines strategies to protect lives, property, and infrastructure. Public input is a vital step, as federal and state disaster-prevention grants often require a current plan with documented community involvement.
