LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Grand Blanc Township Police Department is holding a press briefing regarding the officer-involved shooting that occurred on Sunday, September 28.

The incident took place during an active shooter situation at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, where officers fatally shot the suspected gunman.

Police Chief William Renye will present relevant body-worn camera footage and provide a detailed briefing outlining the sequence of events captured.

Grand Blanc Township Supervisor Scott Bennett will join Chief Renye to offer a broader community update.
