The strange case of a Mobile man accused of allegedly driving a skid-steer onto Interstate 10 and attempting to attack police with it in January will be considered by a grand jury, despite him being left paralyzed after the incident.

On Wednesday, Mobile County District Court Judge Deborah Tillman issued an order determining there is probable cause for a grand jury to indict Joseph Shelby Jones on charges of first-degree attempted assault, first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree property theft, felony attempting to elude and resisting arrest in connection to a bizarre encounter with Mobile police that went viral on social media.
