BLACKSBURG, Va. — Virginia Tech has officially launched its search for the next head football coach, announcing Thursday the formation of an eight-member committee featuring a mix of Hokie legends, business leaders, and nationally recognized figures.

The committee was introduced by Virginia Tech President Tim Sands and Director of Athletics Whit Babcock, who both emphasized the magnitude of the hire and the university’s bold vision for the future of Hokies football.

Leading the list of committee members is Super Bowl-winning coach and Virginia Tech alum Bruce Arians, alongside former Hokies defensive coordinator Bud Foster and former wide receiver Eddie Royal.
