DULUTH, Minn. — The sale of ALLETE has been approved by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission(MPUC)

Friday, ALLETE, the company that runs Minnesota Power and Superior Water, Light and Power of Wisconsin, announced that the MPUC has approved its acquisition.

The Pension Plan Investment Board and Global Infrastructure Partners are expected to officially acquire the company for $6.2 billion in late 2025.
