Brooke Shields is returning to Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart.”
Shields last appeared as Charlotte Thornton on season 3 of the Western drama back in 2016. After a decade, she’ll reprise her role in season 13 of “When Calls the Heart,” which is set to premiere sometime in 2026.
“Charlotte Thornton is back. I’m so happy to return to ‘When Calls the Heart’ this all-new season,” Shields said in a video shared via the show’s official Instagram page.
Charlotte’s son, Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing), died during season 5. Season 12 ended with Jack’s widow, Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow), heading off to stay with Charlotte in Cape Fullerton. Charlotte lives close to an insulin lab, which Elizabeth needs access to because of her son Jack Jr.’s (Hyland Goodrich) diabetes diagnosis.
