LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) - Rezoning plans for a new Wilson County elementary school were recently greenlit by the Board of Education.

Wilson County Schools announced the step forward on Thursday in a Facebook post.

“The 2026-2027 proposed re-zone plan for the new Central Pike Elementary, that includes movement among Gladeville Elementary, Rutland Elementary and Southside, was approved unanimously by the Board of Education this evening,” the post said.

The plans will also affect middle schoolers in the district. According to a message from the WCS deputy director of operations, sixth through eighth graders at the following zones will be rezoned for Gladeville Middle rather than Southside:
