Coventry Farmers Market brings home second place in the 17th America's Farmers Market Celebration after competing with over 1,200 markets nationwide.

The Connecticut market garnered nearly 3,600 of the 60,000 votes, securing a $2,000 prize and the accolades of being the number one farmers market in the Northeast and in Connecticut.

The American Farmland Trust has hosted the celebration each year since 2008 to highlight the "key role farmers markets play in American communities and our larger food system," as stated in the press release.
