Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos isn’t one to hold back what he’s thinking. Even if it involves his division rivals, the New York Mets .
With the Phillies set to face the Dodgers in the best-of-5 NL Division Series on Saturday, in an appearance on “Foul Territory,” Castellanos was asked if he’s surprised by any team that didn’t make the postseason.
“You’re always a little bit surprised when a team goes out and spends $760 million on one player and doesn’t make the playoffs,” Castellanos said, via X/Twitter . “Am I surprised? I don’t know, because baseball is very hard.
“Not talking sh-- or anything, but usually when an acquisition like that is made, a team does better than when they did in the past.”
