EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A record 65,506 donors committed a historic and unprecedented $380,110,317 during the past fiscal year to support Michigan State University’s students, faculty, and programs across the university.

This marks the first time MSU’s annual fundraising total has exceeded $300 million.

Among the new contributors were 8,704 first-time donors who made their initial gift to MSU this year.

The milestone comes at a pivotal time for the university, which has recently undertaken cost-cutting measures to align with budgetary constraints. The outpouring of generosity is both inspiring and impactful, said Michigan State University President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D.
