The Met Office has urged every person across Britain to gather three crucial items as multiple weather warnings blanket the entire nation.

Weather experts have cautioned that Storm Amy will deliver disruptive winds and torrential downpours across much of Scotland, Northern Ireland, northwest England and northwest Wales from Friday afternoon through to Saturday.

In Birmingham , a yellow weather warning is in place from midnight and winds could reach up to 55mph by mid-morning tomorrow, Saturday, October 4.
