NEW YORK — Ace Garrett Crochet delivered in his first season with the Red Sox , even dominating in the AL Wild Card Series.
Crochet struck out 11 while allowing only one run in 7 ⅔ innings to beat the Yankees in Game 1, Boston’s only win in the best-of-three series .
The 26-year-old lefty is expected to finish in the top three of the AL Cy Young voting, after posting a 2.59 ERA in 32 starts and leading the league in strikeouts (255) and innings (205 ⅓).
