Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones talked about the passing of his aunt and what she meant to him on Friday.
It wasn’t clear if Jones would play in the Chiefs-Ravens game on Sunday, as he was suddenly added to the injury list last weekend for an initially unknown reason. It was later revealed that Jones attended a family funeral in Mississippi. Advertisement
Jones said Friday that he and his aunt Angela were very close.
“She meant a lot,” Jones said. “I actually stayed with her for a duration, part of my life, probably like five or six years. So we were very close. She was actually watching my game when she passed away, so. Meant a lot to me, my family, huge supporter.”
