VERDA, Ky. (WYMT) - Two people were found dead early Friday morning in a home in the Verda community of Harlan County.

The coroner pronounced a 50-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman dead at 3:43 a.m.

Their names have not been released.

Foul play is not suspected but officials are looking into the possibly of a generator in the house contributing to the deaths.

Both bodies were sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Frankfort for autopsies.

Kentucky State Police and the Harlan County Coroner’s Office will continue an investigation.
